Girls football vs St Joseph's
North wick vs William Bellamy
Our Year 5 and 6 Football Team went along to the West Ham in the Community’s training ground in Beckton to participate in their annual tournament. All the boys were very excited and throughout their games, they played some excellent football. As you can see from our photos and videos, the games were very exciting. All of the boys put in 100% effort into their play, they communicated well and worked as a team.
There were times during the tournament where the opposition’s emotions ran high but our team kept a positive attitude and did not retaliate. Our boys definitely displayed their William Bellamy spirit and demonstrated their maturity. The staff were very proud.
In our last game we had a range of goals from the team and our defence ensured that our goal keeper did not let in any. A great performance by all who took part. Well done!

William Bellamy’s Football Team attended a live performance of
Private Peaceful by Michael Morpurgo
To help raise the profile of Sport and Reading, William Bellamy’s Football Team went along to the Queens Theatre on Sunday 21st September to watch the live performance of Private Peaceful originally written by Micheal Morpurgo. The children had a great evening and were stunned by the story and great acting. One of the boys said “The show got better and better, the ending was really good.” At the end of the performance the boys stood up to applaud the actor. The boys are now able to borrow the selection of Michael Morpurgo books from the PE department.
