Congratulations to all the winners of the Sports Week Competitions

Sports Week Competition

Are you proud of a sporting achievement? Would you like to share it with us?

We have designed a competition to find out about all the exciting activities and sports achievements that our pupils have accomplished in and out of school. This might be gymnastics, football, karate, boxing, marathon running or something completely different.

All you need to do is use one of our templates or design your own medal template (no more than 12 cm), attach a picture of yourself and a sentence to explain your achievement. Every pupils can hand in as many entries as they wish but they need to be separate achievements. An example of a template could be like this:

The deadline for entries is Monday 19th June 2017. Please hand all entries to the class teacher. The winners will be announced during Sports Week (June 26th-30th 2017).

Prizes include: West Ham Football, 4 free Ultimate Vision Sports sessions, Dagenham and Redbridge tickets, adidas football, Ultimate Vision Sports water bottle and many more.

The sign up to a community club event was a great success! Many of our parents ask about clubs in the community. At William Bellamy, we try our best linking up with organisations and companies across the borough to ensure that our pupils have as many opportunities as possible.

As a result of the first Sport Inspired sign up week, we realised that the vast majority of our pupils wanted to sign up but the barrier was engaging all of our parents. Therefore, we worked with Sport Inspired and invited many organisations, companies and clubs from across the borough to come together at our school. This way we were able to link our parents to the community. The response was great and we look forward to another sign up event at William Bellamy Primary.

Community sign up day

Our PE and Sports community page lets you know what is happening in the local area. You will also be able to see what our pupils have done. We have active community links with Ultimate Vision Sports, West Ham in the Community, Barking Abbey Basketball Academy, Dagenham and Redbridge Community Trust, Be Fit Today athletics club, Essex FA, Ultimate Vision Football Club, Schools Out Get Active, Sport Inspired, Vandome cycles, Growing Communities farm, Parkrun, Dagenham Police Community Boxing club and Barking Abbey Netball Academy.

By establishing positive local links with community groups, organisations and companies we can ensure that our pupils explore and develop their interests.
